Trey Martin broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning for Southeastern (23-4, 7-3 SLC) when his sacrifice fly to left scored
Joe Sparacino, who hit a one-out single and moved to third on a double by Gough-Fortenberry.
Lamar took advantage of a pair of two-out errors in the bottom of the frame to take a 3-1 lead it would not relinquish. Joey Latuilippe hit a one-out double to left field and moved to third on a ground out by Andy Mena.
Aaron Buchanan then reached on an error by
Josh Cryer, that scored Latuilippe, and moved to second after an errant throw by

The Cardinals took advantage of two more Lion miscues in the sixth inning, scoring four runs and taking a 7-1 lead. Farhat capped the inning with an RBI triple to center that scored Cameron Campbell, who had previously reached on an error.
Southeastern cut into the lead in the seventh as Boudreaux doubled off the wall in right-center field, but Garrett Steward came in relief for Lamar and allowed one hit with a pair of strikeouts in 2.1 innings to earn his first save.
Watkins pitched 5.1 innings and allowed five hits and an earned run for the Lions. The right-hander held Lamar without a hit until Mathis hit a two-out single up the middle in the fourth inning.
