HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team wraps up the 2010 season beginning Thursday when it plays host to Northwestern State in a 7 p.m. match at the University Center.

Following its match against Northwestern State (12-15, 3-11 Southland), Southeastern will close out the season on Saturday when it faces East Division champion Central Arkansas (24-7, 13-1 Southland) at 1 p.m. Prior to the UCA contest, Southeastern (10-21, 1-13 Southland) will honor seniors
Alex Greer and
Allison Jones along with three-year letterwinner

Southeastern looks to snap a nine-match losing streak dating back to Oct. 9 at Stephen F. Austin. The Lady Lions earned their last victory on Oct. 7 in the Pennington Center over Arkansas-Pine Bluff and defeated McNeese State in a five-set match on Sept. 23 in the University Center.
Jones, who has posted career-highs in nearly every offensive category in 2010, leads Southeastern with 2.49 kills per set and is followed by
Courtney Donald (2.07), freshman
Cherish Krohn (1.82) and
Taylor Buckner (1.71).
Freshman
Lindsey Young has recorded a team-high 7.84 assists per set for the Lady Lions, splitting time with
Arianne Cruckshank (7.58).
Greer, who is ninth in school history in total digs (1,086) and digs per set (3.25), paces Southeastern with 2.82 digs per set with
Chelsea Barr (2.78), Cruckshank (2.23) and Young (2.00) next.
