HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team will host Southland Conference foes UTSA and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi this week in the University Center.
The Lady Lions (10-13, 1-5 Southland) will face off with UTSA (11-9, 5-1 Southland) at 7 p.m. on Friday. First serve for Southeastern's match with A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday at 2 p.m. Live stats for both matches will be available via www.LionSports.net. Admission for both matches is free. Southeastern will be looking for its first league win since Sept. 23.

Allison Jones leads the Lady Lions with 2.43 kills per set. Sophomore

Kinsey Williams (1.41 kps) are the other top attackers for the Lady Lions. Donald leads Southeastern with a .225 hitting percentage.

Lindsey Young (7.74, 10th) and junior
Arianne Cruckshank (7.51, 12th) both rank among the Southland Conference leaders in terms of assists per set. Juniors
Paige Dollison and
Chelsea Barr are both among the league's best with 22 and 20 service aces, respectively.
Defensively, Barr is 11th in the Southland with 3.14 digs per set, followed by senior
Alex Greer with 3.05 digs per set. Donald leads the team with 49 blocks, followed by Mueller (25) and Dollison (23).
UTSA comes into Friday's match on a four-match winning streak. Senior Kendra Rowland (2.81 kps), sophomore Whitney Walls (2.47 kps) and junior Elise Huskey (2.40 kps) are the team's most prolific attackers. Sophomore Kelsey Schwirtlich is second in the Southland with 9.51 assists per set.
Junior Kelsey Jewasko leads the defensive effort for the Roadrunners and is second in the Southland with 5.38 digs per set. Sophomore Brittney Malloy and senior Briana Mason lead the team with 76 and 73 blocks, respectively.
Saturday's opponent A&M-Corpus Christi features the Southland kills per set leader in senior Emma Ridley. Ridley leads the Lady Islanders with 3.69 kills per set, while freshman Isabella Arcidiacono is averaging 2.56 kills per set. Freshman Logan Bourque is the team's primary setter and is averaging 8.51 assists per set – eighth-highest in the Southland.
Freshman Micah Nolan is sixth in the Southland with 4.13 digs per set. Freshmen Brooke Alverson (49) and Jordan Flemmer are the team's block leaders.
This week's action is the start of four consecutive home matches for the Lady Lions. Following the matches this week, the Lady Lions will host Nicholls on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. in the University Center.
