NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team closes out a two-game road trip on Saturday when it faces defending Southland Conference champion Stephen F. Austin at William R. Johnson Coliseum.

Southeastern (10-7, 2-2 Southland) looks to snap a two-game losing streak after a 71-67 loss at McNeese State on Wednesday. The Lions opened the game with a 13-2 run and led, 40-28, at halftime before the Cowboys rallied in the second half. McNeese State closed out the game with a 15-2 run in snapping a five-game losing streak and four straight to Southeastern.
Patrick Sullivan, who is sixth in the league in scoring (14.1) and third in rebounds (8.4), paces the Southeastern attack. The 6-foot-9 senior leads the Southland Conference in blocked shots (2.9) and is 10th in the league in field goal percentage.
Damon Forest, who has averaged 16.5 points since being inserted in the starting lineup six games ago, is next in scoring for the Lions at 12.3 points with
Trent Hutchin (9.8),
Brandon Fortenberry (9.2) and
Gary Dixon (8.9) next.
Southeastern enters its game with SFA (12-5, 2-2 Southland) as the Southland Conference leader in field goal shooting (47.5 percent), 3-point shooting (39.8 percent), blocked shots (5.4) and field goal defense (39.1 percent). The Lions are second in the league in assists (16.0) and are third in scoring offense (75.4), free throw shooting (71.4 percent) and 3-point defense (30.8 percent).
SFA, which is 8-1 at home in 2009-10, has won six of its last eight games since a 72-69 loss at Arkansas on Dec. 19. The Lumberjacks have won both of their league games at home, defeating Central Arkansas before a 72-65 victory over UT Arlington on Wednesday.
Orren Tims came off the bench to score 17 points for SFA while Eddie Williams and Jordan Glynn each posted double-doubles. Williams, the Lumberjacks' leading scorer at 13.9 points per game, scored 16 points and grabbed a game-high 12 boards for SFA while Glynn added 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lumberjacks held a 38-29 advantage on the boards against UTA and were 30-for-35 from the free throw line in holding off their league rival.
SFA leads the all-time series, 23-12, and has won the last five meetings in the series. The Lumberjacks claimed all three games last season between the schools, including a 67-56 victory in the quarterfinals of the 2009 Southland Conference Tournament in Katy, Texas.
