HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University closes outs its 2008-09 home schedule with a pair of home games beginning Wednesday when it faces Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a 7 p.m. contest at the University Center.

Looking to shake a six-game losing streak, Southeastern (9-16, 3-9 SLC) looks to get back in contention for a berth in next month's Southland Conference Tournament as it plays it final two games at home this season. After facing SLC West leader A&M-Corpus Christi (15-12, 9-3 SLC), the Lions will close out their home slate Saturday afternoon against Central Arkansas.
Patrick Sullivan enters the game leading Southeastern in scoring (11.8), rebounds (6.8), blocked shots (56) and field goal percentage (.580).
Warrell Span, the team's lone senior, is second in scoring (10.2) followed by
Chris Cyprian (8.9),
Damon Forest (8.1) and
Brandon Fortenberry (7.8).
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is led by Kevin Palmer (17.3) with Justin Reynolds (8.9), Tim Green (8.8) and Demond Watt (8.2) next in scoring. The Islanders enter the game averaging 67.9 points per game while allowing 67.6.
