Williams tied the four-year-old school record of 7.57 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60 meters at the South Alabama Invitational on Sunday, then finished second in the finals in 7.58. The 7.57 is tied for the second-fastest in the Southland in 2016 while the 7.58 is fourth.
