Jenkins scored a team-high 18 points to become the 17th student-athlete in program to reach 1,000 career points in the Lady Lions' loss to eventual tournament champion McNeese State in the first round of the 2011-12 Southland Conference Tournament. Named a third team All-Southland Conference choice on Monday, Jenkins was the lone Lady Lion to finish in double figures. The Plaquemine native finishes her career with exactly 1,000 career points, while also among the school’s career leaders in assists (452, 4th) and games played (119, 2nd).
