2010 Southland Conference Honor Roll

2011 (Junior)
Finished second on the team in digs per set (2.31) and receptions (407) while playing in all 33 matches with 16 starts … third in overall digs (240) and service aces (20) … recorded a season-high three kills in matches against Samford, Grambling State, Nicholls State and Northwestern State … recorded double-digit digs in 11 matches … tallied a season-best 16 digs against Texas-Arlington … added 15 digs in a four-set win over Louisiana-Monroe … recorded 14 digs against Louisiana Tech and at Central Arkansas … served a pair of aces against Southern Illinois, Texas-Arlington and Texas State … tied a career-high with three assists against Tennessee-Martin.

2010 (Sophomore)
Finished fourth on the team in total kills (151), kills per set (1.64) and points per set (1.93) while playing in 31 matches with 20 starts … posted career-highs with 21 kills, 46 attempts and 21.5 points in a four-set victory over Southern … added a season-high 15 digs against the Jaguars for her only double-double of the season … had 19 kills, while hitting .353 at the net (19-7-34), in a five-set victory over McNeese State … added 12 kills in the Lady Lions’ home opener against South Alabama while recording 11 in a three-set win over New Orleans … hit a career-best .529 (9-0-17) against Louisiana-Monroe in the Jackson State Invitational … tied a career-high with three service aces in wins against UNO and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

2009 (Freshman)
Finished fifth on the court in both kills per set (1.90) and hitting percentage (.135) in her inaugural season with Southeastern … was third on the team in digs per set (2.38) and was fourth in points per set (2.18) … posted six matches with 10 or more kills, highlighted by 18-kill performance (18-5-39) in a five-set win over Northwestern State … posted 12 kills on a season-high .458 clip against Bowling Green … added 12 kills in wins over Nicholls and McNeese State – the latter which propelled the Lady Lions into the Southland Conference Tournament … had five double-doubles on the season … posted a season-high 19 digs in a five-set win over Nicholls.

PREP
An All-State and All-Region selection as a senior at Class 3A Columbus High School … recorded 511 kills, 296 digs and 81 service aces in her final season … helped lead CHS to the 2008 Class 3A state championship … named a 2009 Georgia Senior All-Star and the CHS Most Valuable Player … an All-Bi City first team pick in 2008 … also was a member of the Tsunami VBC club team.

PERSONAL
Born Taylor Naomi Buckner in Columbus, Ga. … the daughter of Naomi Buckner … her cousin, Brenston Buckner, played 12 years in the National Football League and appeared in two Super Bowls (Super Bowl XXX with Pittsburgh; Super Bowl XXXVIII with Carolina) … enjoys volleyball, kayaking with her roommate, dancing, singing and shopping … a double major in History and Spanish.
