Travis Ponton enters his first season with the Southeastern Louisiana women’s basketball program as an assistant coach.

Ponton spent the 2013-14 season as the director of basketball operations at Mount St. Mary’s University. During his tenure, MSMU finished 19-14 and second in the Northeast Conference, advancing to the WNIT.

Prior to joining the Mount St. Mary’s staff, Ponton’s gained experience as a high school coach in Virginia at Colonial Heights High School, Cosby High School and Radford High School.

A 2009 graduate of Radford, Ponton earned his degree in media studies.
