Kentwood native Ronneka Robertson joined the Southeastern women's basketball program as an assistant coach in September 2021.
In her first season, the Lady Lions advanced to the Southland Conference Tournament championship game for the first time in program history.
Prior to coming back to Louisiana, Robertson’s most recent coaching stop was as an assistant coach at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Prior to that she had two stints at the head coach at her alma mater, Kentwood High School, leading the ‘Roos to seven playoff appearances.

Robertson also spent a season at East Central Community College in Mississippi, working with a program that produced eight student-athletes who continued their athletic and academic endeavors at four-year institutions. She also has vast travel ball coaching experience, coaching the Louisiana Flames, Louisiana Tri-Parish Hurricanes, Louisiana Lady Jets and Louisiana Lady Legends.

Robertson is a 2014 graduate of South Alabama, where she played four years for the Jaguars. As a power forward, she earned Sun Belt Conference academic honor roll recognition. A team captain as a senior, Robertson earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from South Alabama and a master’s degree in sport management from LSU in 2020.

Robertson prepped at Kentwood High School, where she was a two-time all-state and four-time first team all-district selection. A 1,000-point career scorer, Robertson averaged 20 points and 12 rebounds as a senior at KHS.
