After spending five seasons at Clark Atlanta University, Jelani McCaskey joins the Southeastern women’s basketball program as an assistant coach. McCaskey will also serve as the program’s recruiting coordinator.
During his time at Clark Atlanta, McCaskey handled player development and instruction, as well as scouting. He also coordinated all aspects of recruiting and community service.
McCaskey’s tenure was a successful one at Clark Atlanta. During his time, CAU posted a single-season school record 26 victories, including a program-best 22 win in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
McCaskey is a 2005 graduate of Clayton State, where he earned a bachelor’s in administrative management. He would go on to complete his master’s degree in sports administration at Central Michigan in 2013.
