Conroy is going into his fourth season with the Southeastern men's basketball staff. Conroy spent his first season as the Director of Operations and Recruiting and the past two seasons as Assistant Coach. He is heavily involved with player development, recruiting, and scouting.
The New Orleans, Louisiana native played four years at Tulane University under two different head coaches. He played for his father, Ed, during his first two years and Mike Dunleavy Sr. for his final two years. His Father is now the Head Coach at The Citadel.
Conroy played his high school career at Jesuit High School (2010-2014) in New Orleans and was named second team District 6-5A his sophomore year averaging 10.1 points for his career. He helped guide Jesuit to the district title his junior year (2013) and advanced to the second round of the
LHSAA playoffs.
During the 2018-19 season, he coached at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas. As an assistant coach, he helped guide the team to a Top-10 finish nationally with 11 players going onto play at the collegiate level at various schools including Michigan State, Creighton, and Austin Peay.
Riley is the son of Ed and Ginny Conroy. He has a brother, Hunt, who is a Graduate Manager for the men’s basketball program at The Citadel. He also has a younger sister, Hannah, who is currently enrolled at the University of Clemson.
Conroy graduated from Tulane with degrees in Business Management and Business Marketing and obtained his MBA with a specialty in Sports Administration from FAU in December 2020.
