Brandon Reeves enters his second season on the Southeastern Louisiana men’s basketball staff for the start of the 2025-26 season.

 

He primarily helps with the guards and is a key member of the operations of the basketball program.

 

In his first season, Reeves helped the Lions achieve their third-straight winning season with a winning record in Southland Conference play, as well as a fifth-straight appearance in the Southland Conference Championship Tournament.

 

Three Lions earned All-Conference honors with Reeves on staff for the green and gold. Graduate senior Sam Hines Jr. (First Team) secured SLC Newcomer of the Year while Jakevion Buckley (First Team) was also named to the All-Defensive Team.

 

A native of Brandon, Miss., Reeves comes to Hammond from Hattiesburg where he spent all four years of his undergrad as a student assistant on the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles men’s basketball team.

 

During his first two years at USM, he worked with current SLU associate head coach Kyle Roane He was part of the 2022-23. USM team which made a historic turnaround, the second-largest single season win increase in NCAA history, to win the Sunbelt Conference’s regular season championship.

 

A graduate of Brandon High School, Reeves earned his bachelor’s in sports coaching from Southern Miss in the spring of 2024.
