Kirsten Schillace serves as the Director of Academic Support Services for the Southeastern Louisiana University Athletic Department. In her role, Kirsten works directly with Football, providing specialized academic oversight and guidance. She collaborates closely with coaches, faculty, and university staff to build a comprehensive support network that ensures her student-athletes achieve excellence both on the field and in their academic pursuits.
Kirsten brings a unique pedagogical background to the department, having previously served as a Kindergarten teacher. This experience in foundational education fuels her approach to academic mentorship, allowing her to simplify complex challenges and foster a structured, supportive environment for her players.
Her passion is driven by the holistic growth of her student-athletes, helping them navigate the rigors of a Division I schedule while preparing them for life beyond the whistle.
