Alexis Ring joined the Southeastern Athletics Sports Medicine staff in August 2024 as an assistant athletic trainer and was elevated to Assistant AD for Sports Medicine in July 2026.
Ring oversees the Southeastern Sport Medicine staff in her current role. Prior to being elevated, Ring served as the athletic trainer for the SLU track and field programs.
Prior to coming to Hammond, Ring spend three years as the assistant director of sports medicine at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ring was the primary athletic trainer for the Ragin’ Cajuns’ track and field programs, but also assisted with volleyball, women’s tennis, women’s basketball and with the UL Lafayette spirit squads.
Ring earned her master’s degree in health and human performance from Northwestern State in 2021. During her two years of graduate studies, she was
the primary athletic trainer for volleyball. As a graduate assistant athletic trainer, she also assisted with the NSU soccer, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and women’s tennis teams.
A 2019 graduate of Iowa State, Ring earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training. During her time in Ames, she spent a season as an athletic trainer for the Iowa Attack Club basketball program.
