Personal: Born in Slidell, La. ... the son of Robert Byars and Blair Edwards ... step-father, Daniel Edwards, played baseball at LSU and is the current sheriff of Tangipahoa Parish ... his grandfather, Jimmy Barrileaux, and an uncle, Rusty Barrileaux, each played football at LSU ... enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time ... majoring in accounting.
