2012 (Junior): Compiled a 2-1 record as well as a school and Southland Conference record 20 saves … allowed just two earned runs in 29.1 innings pitched for a 0.61 ERA … set both single-season and career (30) saves records for Southeastern and the conference … set conference career saves record (28) against SFA (5/4) by earning his 18th of the season, in the process tying the conference single-season saves record … set conference single-season save record (19), once held by former NCBWA Stopper of the Year Luke Prihoda (Sam Houston State), against the Bearkats (5/12) … held opponents to a .179 batting average … surrendered three extra-base hits all season, one each in the months of March, April and May … did not allow an earned run until Tax Day (April 15) vs. Texas State on a solo home run … recorded saves in eight straight appearances from March 11 (Nicholls State) to April 5 (Central Arkansas) … also had saves in six consecutive appearances from April 20 (UTSA) to May 4 (Stephen F. Austin) … walked just five batters, one each in the months of February, March and April, and a pair in May … struck out a season high four batters at Nicholls State (March 11) … allowed multiple hits just five times and never more than two hits … earned both win and picked up a save in three outing against SFA … picked up a save against No. 21-ranked Mississippi State … earned multiple saves against non-conference foes Louisiana-Lafayette and  Eastern Illinois, as well as Southland foes UT Arlington, Central Arkansas, UTSA and Northwestern State … out of 119 batters faced Lopez recorded 42 strikeouts (35 percent), 27 fly outs (23 percent) and 19 groundouts (16 percent) … with two outs opponents hit just .083 against Lopez (3 for 36) … right-handed batters hit jus .162 against him (11 for 68) … Lopez earned 12 of his 20 saves in conference play and struck out 30 in 18.1 innings … he did not allow an earned run in non-conference action (one unearned run in 11 IP) or on the road (one unearned run in 14.2 IP with 22 Ks).

2011 (Sophomore): Compiled a 0-2 record for the season with nine saves and 3.25 earned run average … appeared in 21 games (all in relief) … struck out 44 batters in just 36 innings pitched … limited opponents to a .233 batting average … held left-handed hitters to a .163 batting average … led the Lions’ staff in saves, games finished (19) and K/9 (11.0) … second in overall appearances, relief appearances, K/BB ratio (4.4) … tossed 10 consecutive scoreless innings to start the season … compiled 13 multi-strikeout appearances …  recorded 13.1 innings scoreless streak (12 games) from March 7-April 19 … logged a career-high five innings pitched and seven strike outs April 23 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

2010 (Freshman): Posted a 2-1 record with a 5.23 earned run average … picked up first collegiate win against UTSA after allowing one earned run in 2.2 innings pitched, striking out five … threw 10 consecutive scoreless innings of relief in games against LSU, Stephen F. Austin (winning pitcher) and Northwestern State … threw two scoreless innings of relief against in Southland Conference Tournament against Northwestern State.

High School: A three-time All-District and two-time Class 5A All-State selection at New Iberia Senior High … lettered in baseball for four years … named District MVP and earned All-Acadiana team honors … as a junior, hit .478 with 12 doubles and eight home runs at the plate … on the mound, posted six wins with a 3.27 ERA and 99 strikeouts in 68.1 innings pitched.

Pesonal: Born in New Iberia, La. … the son of Kevin and Pamela Lopez … has one sister, Meghan … majoring in Kinesiology.
