Gerry Pacitti

Gerry Pacitti

Gerry Pacitti was named SLU's Director of Sports Performance in August 2017. He comes to Hammond after completing three professional internships with Power Five Programs in the Big 10, ACC, and SEC. He works with the Lion football and baseball programs.

Maryland was his most recent stop where he worked with football program. At College Park, Pacitti assisted with training of first year athletes as well as the implementation of modification protocols for athletes returning from injury.
 
Prior to his stint with the Terps, Pacitti spent the 2016 season at Virginia working with the football team under the mentorship of Director of Human Performance, Frank Wintrich. At Virginia Pacitti assisted the performance staff with the implementation of the Progressive Athlete Development System (PADS) as well as the “Warrior Mindset” philosophy.

In the winter of 2016 Pacitti worked under Scott Cochran at Alabama where he assisted with training football as well as multiple Olympic sports. He assisted with the implementation of the “4th Quarter” program, and worked directly with the running back and quarterback position groups.

Pacitti served at the Division II level with Seton Hill University from 2014-2016 as the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach. On “The Hill” he was responsible for the creation and implementation of the program’s yearly phases and oversaw every aspect of The Griffins’ strength and conditioning program.

Pacitti is an alumni of Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science. He was a four year starter on the Offensive Line, earning All-Conference honors, and the title of Team Captain. His senior season culminated with a trip to the Division III “Final 8”.

Pacitti is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) he is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA).
