Junior College: Spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons at Northwest Shoals Community College ... went 11-2 with a 3.60 ERA in 22 career games at NSCC ... logged a no-hitter in his freshman season and finished with 102 career strikeouts in 102.1 IP.

High School: A three-sport athlete at Deshler HS ... earned four letters in baseball, three in basketball and two in football ... earned all-state honors in 2006 and played in the East/West Alabama All-Star Game in 2005.

Personal: Born in Florence, Ala. ... the younger of Ray and Cindy Fowler's two sons ... father played baseball at North Alabama and brother, Josh (25), played at Northwest Shoals CC ... a General Studies major.
