2021 [SENIOR]: Member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll ... appeared in nine games, earning a start at No. 10-ranked LSU (March 16) … compiled a 1-1 W-L record and an 8.00 ERA in 9.0 innings pitched … scattered five hits and seven walks, striking out eight batters … opponents hit .167 off the southpaw … threw three wild pitches … earned the win at No. 19-ranked Southern Miss (May 5) … turned in scoreless outings against Mississippi Valley State (Feb. 20), at No. 19-ranked Arizona (Feb. 25), Sam Houston (March 12), Abilene Christian (April 9), Southern Miss and McNeese (May 28).

PRIOR TO SOUTHEASTERN: Transfer from UL Lafayette.

2020 [JUNIOR]: Pitched in 4.1 innings while giving up 10 earned runs and fanning four batters during pandemic-shortened season … his two scoreless appearances came against Louisiana Tech (2/16/20) and Rice (3/3/20) … was solid against lefty batters, surrendering just two hits in seven attempts.

2019 [SOPHOMORE]: Made nine appearances and tallied 14.2 innings pitched on the mound during his sophomore season … posted a 7.98 ERA throughout the season … recorded five strikeouts in just 2.2 innings of work at Nicholls (3/5).

2018 [FRESHMAN]: Appeared in 23 games, including one start, during his freshman campaign … finished the season with a 2-1 record … in 46.2 innings pitched, had a 6.17 ERA with 37 strikeouts … went a season-high 6.0 innings at Texas (2/18), allowing just one run on two hits … struck out a five batters in 3.2 innings during his lone start against Southern Miss (4/4) … member of the Commissioner’s Academic List.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year letterwinner at Denham Springs High School, helping guide the Yellow Jackets to three playoff appearances including two runs to the state quarterfinals … played baseball for coach Mark Carroll and football for coach Dru Nettles ... named a Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American in 2015 and 2016 … earned 5A All-State honors in 2016 and 2017 … tabbed all-district and all-parish from 2015-17 … struck out 15 hitters in a game against Zachary HS as a senior … went 6-2 on the mound as a junior for Denham Springs High School with 65 strikeouts in 60.2 innings, a 2.77 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and .200 opponent batting average ... also hit .311 with 5 doubles, 20 walks and 21 RBI.
 
PERSONAL: Born in Hammond, Louisiana … son of Chris and Debra Batty ... has two brothers, Brennan and Brant ... father played baseball at Southeastern (1992), winning a TAAC West Division and Tournament title along with earning an NCAA Regional appearance … enjoys deer hunting and fishing ... majoring in general studies at Southeastern.
