2010: Averaged 38.2 yards per punt on 60 kicks … Downed 15 kicks inside the 20-yard line and had seven punts over 50 yards … Ranked seventh in the Southland Conference in punting average … Tied the school record for longest punt with a 65-yard effort versus McNeese State …. Averaged 44.2 yards per punt versus the Cowboys – the eighth-best punting average in a game in school history … His 45.0 per punt average at Central Arkansas was the third-best single game punting average ever by a Lion ... Also had plus-50 yard punts against Louisiana-Monroe, Sam Houston State, Northwestern State and Stephen F. Austin … Downed four punts inside the 20 in Southland win over Texas State … Had an 18-yard run in win over Tennessee-Martin … Also completed a 12-yard pass on a fake punt versus McNeese State.

2009: Stepped in as starting punter for the Lions, averaging 38.2 yards on 65 kicks … Put 20 punts inside the 20-yard line and eight kicks of 50 yards or more … Named Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after hitting three 50-plus yard punts and averaging 42.2 yards per punt in a 27-0 league win over Northwestern State … Debuted with three kicks inside the 20-yard line in 41-7 season-opening win over Texas A&M-Commerce and was named LSWA Special Teams Player of the Week … Launched a season-long 62-yard punt versus SFA and again earned LSWA honors … Averaged season-high 49.0 yards per punt in 51-50 overtime win over Texas State.

High School: A first team All-District 9-5A selection as a punter and wide receiver at New Orleans’ Jesuit High School … Selected All-Orleans Parish by the New Orleans Times Picayune and was named to the Class 5A All-Academic Team as an honorable mention selection … totaled 30 receptions for 493 yards and nine touchdowns for the Blue Jays as a senior … chosen to play in the Lake Pontchartrain All-Star Classic … coached by Wayde Kaiser … Pitched for the JHS baseball team.

Personal: Born Boyd Mothe III in New Orleans … The only son of Boyd and Denise Mothe … Has two older sisters, Nicole and Kathryn … Majoring in finance.
