2008: Honorable Mention All-Southland Conference selection after finishing fourth on the team and 23rd in the SLC with 66 tackles (47 solo) … Led the SLC with six fumble recoveries … Tops on the team and third in the SLC with four forced fumbles … Also had four tackles for loss, three sacks and five pass breakups … Played in 12 games and made 11 starts … Was named Southland Conference and Louisiana Defensive Player of the Week after a brilliant 14-tackle performance at Nicholls State, forcing a fumble and recovering four fumbles versus the Colonels … Returned a fumble 20 yards for a touchdown at NSU … Made eight tackles, recorded a sack and broke up three passes in the Lions’ overtime victory at Sam Houston State …  Credited with eight stops and a fumble recovery versus South Dakota … Recovered a fumble and returned it 17 yards at Central Arkansas … Also forced fumbles versus Alcorn State, Stephen F. Austin and Texas State … Credited with sacks versus Alcorn State and Texas State … Broke up two passes at Central Arkansas.

Junior College: Played in the MACJC All-Star Game … collected 150 tackles and nine sacks in two seasons at Itawamba Community College ... selected to the Preseason All-American team after earning All-State honors as a freshman ... had 17 tackles for loss in 2007 and was a first team All-Region performer as a sophomore.

High School: Prepped at Westgate High School under coach Craig Brodie and earned first team All-District recognition ... participated in the LHSCA All-Star Game ... also excelled as a member of the WHS baseball and track teams.

Personal: Born in New Iberia … The son of the late Edwin and Kathy Pierre … Has three brothers, Jarret, Graig and Brandon … Has a sister, Angela … a general studies major.
