Earned NCAA Division I Second Team All-American honors in the outdoor 400-meter dash after advancing to the national semifinal race and finishing 16th at the NCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships... Broke the SLU 400-meter dash school record at the NCAA Outdoor East First Round by stopping the clock at 51.93 seconds to advance to the quarterfinal race... Earned Outdoor All-Conference Second Team honors in both the 400-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay... Helped break and reset the SLU women's outdoor 4x400-meter relay school record with a time of 3:42.07 at the Strawberry Relays and then bettered that with a time of 3:40.46 at the LSU Alumni Gold... Earned Indoor All-Conference Second Team honors in the 4x400-meter relay... Earned Indoor All-Conference Third Team honor in the 400-meter dash... Ran 60-meter dash in 7.61 seconds at the LSU Twilight indoor meet... Fastest time in 200-meter dash cam at SLC Indoor Championships with a time of 24.35 seconds... Quickest time in 100-meter dash came at the Strawberry Relays with a time of 11.80 seconds... Named to Southland Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.
Freshman Year (2024):
Named the Southland Conference Women's Track & Field Freshman of the Year... Qualified for the NCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships East First Round in the 400-meter dash... Earned her spot in the East First Round with her performance at the SLC Outdoor Championships, where she had her best 400m dash run of the season, crossing in 53.51 seconds... Part of the 4x400-meter relay team which broke the SLU indoor school record at Samford's Bulldog Invitational with a time of 3:45.21... Competed in 12 meets in her first season with the Lady Lions... Made her debut at the LSU Purple Tiger indoor meet where she ran in her only 600-meter run of the season, finishing in 1:41.73... Only run in the 60-meter sprint came at the LSU Twilight, coming across in 7.89 seconds... Took part in her only 200-meter dash of the year at the Strawberry Relays, stopping the clock in 24.94 seconds... Lone 800-meter race of the season came at the Louisiana Classics, crossing the line in 2:23.40... Named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.
Prior to Southeastern:
Prepped at Obotebe Secondary School in her native country of Nigeria... Ran track for Team Delta... Named best female runner in 2022... Qualified for the African Youth Games, where she won a silver medal in the 400-meter dash... Was also a member of the Baptist Student Fellowship.
Personal:
Born July 12, 2006 in Asaba, Nigeria... Daughter of Samuel & Marbel... Has five siblings - Deborah, Promise, Precious, Divine, & Goodluck... Enjoys reading... Most exciting athletic event she's witnessed was the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games... Majors in kinesiology at SLU.
