Competed in six meets throughout the season, exclusively taking part in the high jump competition... Highest height cleared during the season was 1.57 meters (5'1.75"), which she accomplished at both the SLC Indoor and Outdoor Championships... Named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.
Sophomore Season (2024):
Competed in five meets for the Lady Lions during this season, all during the indoor season and all in the high jump competition... Cleared her season best height at Samford's Bulldog Invitational, where she successfully got over 1.65 meters (5'5")... Finished 11
th at the SLC Indoor Championships... Named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.
Freshman Season (2023):
Made her debut for the Lady Lions at the Birmingham-Southern Indoor Icebreaker, clearing 1.50 meters or 4'11" in her first collegiate meet... Had her highest jumps of the season in the Southland Conference Championship meets as her best jump for the indoor season came at the SLC Championships and was 1.60 meters or 5'3" while her best jump for the outdoor season was her season best at 1.62 meters or 5'3.75" at the SLC Championships.
Prior to Southeastern:
Prepped at Denham Springs High School... Was a member of the track & field team for the Yellow Jackets... Won the Parish, District, & Regional Championships... High school personal record was 5'4"... Qualified for the State Championship meet... Was named captain for the team her senior season... Was also a member of the Jackettes, Key Club, & Anchor Club.
Personal:
Born December 12, 2003 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana... Daughter of Kenny Calvaruso & Michelle Rothman... Has an older sister - Marisa, and two younger siblings - Harper & Finley... Her sister, Marisa, played volleyball for Southeastern... Likes to spend time with family & friends... Biggest sports thrill was winning the regional championship with a personal record... Majors in health science at Southeastern.
