2025 Southland Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll
Sophomore Season (2025):
Competed in three meets, all during the indoor portion of the schedule... Took part in the long jump and triple jump at all three events... Best long jump of season came at the SLC Indoor Championships, clearing 5.41 meters (17'9")... Furthest leap in the triple jump was also at the SLC Indoor Championships, traversing 11.64 meters (38'2.25")... Named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Freshman Season (2024):
Competed in eight meets in her first season at Southeastern... Made her Lady Lion debut at the LSU Purple Tiger, competing in the triple jump... Had her season bests in the long jump & 60-meter sprint at Samford's Bulldog Invitational, clearing 5.49 meters (18'0.25") in the long jump while stopping the clock in 7.87 seconds in the 60m... Best triple jump of the year came at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships, clearing 11.19 meters (36'8.5")... Finished her year with her first runs in two new disciplines, running the 100-meter dash in 12.56 seconds & completing the 200-meter dash in 26.02 seconds.
Prior to Southeastern:
Prepped at Denham Spring High... Was a member of the track & field team for the Yellow Jackets... Best marks at DSHS were 12.3 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 25.8 seconds in the 200-meter dash, 18'7" in the long jump, & 37'9" in the triple jump... Was also a member of Jackets against Destructive Decisions (JADD) & Library Club at Denham Springs... Also competed with the Future Track Club.
Personal:
Born August 4, 2005... Daughter of Derrick & Michelle Taylor... Has an older sister, Brittany... Enjoys reading & listening to music... Most exciting event she's witnessed was the 2023 LHSAA Outdoor Track & Field State Championships... Majors in marketing at SLU.
