LAFAYETTE, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Volleyball team fell to UL Lafayette, 25-22, 22-25, 18-25, 16-25, at the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic at Earl K. Long Gym in Lafayette, La., Thursday evening.
SLU (0-4) claimed the first set over the Ragin' Cajuns (1-2) but was unable to overcome the home team the rest of the way. The Lions remained within striking distance for much of the match after winning set one, but lost their momentum as UL Lafayette held on.
Kyra McKelvey has remained a standout for the Lions through the team's first four matches, notching a team-high 13 kills and adding four blocks. McKelvey's 15.0 points were also a team-high mark.
Ashley Richardson posted her third double-double of 2026 with a team-high 27 assists and a match-high 13 digs against the Ragin' Cajuns.
Lindsey Wickersham also reached double-digit digs, ending the match with 11.
Ainsley Driska led SLU with six total blocks.
UL Lafayette's Sarah Schnell paced all players with 15 kills. Lolo Lambert also reached double figures, posting 12 kills and 12 digs. Rhyan Miciotto ended Thursday's match with a game-leading 32 assists. Kennedy Gustafson tied Richardson for a match-leading 13 digs.
SLU will remain at E.K. Long Gym in Lafayette Friday, when the Lions take on the Memphis Tigers (0-3) at 2 p.m. For Friday's match, live stats will be available on the volleyball schedule page at
