HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Volleyball team is set to embark on a seven-match road slate, beginning with a three-match tournament at The Rebel Challenge, hosted by UNLV at The Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nev., Friday.
 
Southeastern (3-7) will begin the tourney with a double-header against UC Irvine (1-8) and UNLV (1-7). Following Friday's double-header, the Lions will end 2026 non-conference play against UC San Diego (3-6) on Saturday.
 
The Lions' matches against UC Irvine (4 p.m. CDT, Fri.) and UC San Diego (1 p.m. CDT, Sat.) will have live stats available on the volleyball schedule page at www.LionSports.net. Friday's match against UNLV (8 p.m. CDT) will be available to watch on Mountain West+.
 
The 2025 Southland Conference Player of the Year has elevated herself to the top of the SLC offensive standings this week. Kyra McKelvey's 3.39 kills per set ranks first in the league, totaling 129 kills to place second in the Southland. McKelvey extended her streak of double-digit kills to eight games. The Navarre, Fla. native owns a points-per-set average of 3.78, the third-best mark in the SLC.
 
Ainsley Driska has improved her hitting percentage to .297, the seventh-best mark in the conference, while also posting 29 blocks this season for the seventh-highest total in the league. With the fourth-best assists-per-set average (8.12) in the SLC, Ashley Richardson has remained one of the top setters in the Southland.
 
The Anteaters' Taylor Boice and Madison Triplett have been the top attackers on the team. Boice and Triplett hold kills-per-set marks of 2.63 and 2.29, respectively. Boice's hitting percentage (.337) is the fourth-highest mark in the Big West Conference. Angelina Dellutri leads the Anteaters with 195 assists this season. Defensively, Whitney Wallace's 118 digs pace all UC Irvine student-athletes, while Vani Tatoulian has been the team's best blocker with 20 rejections.
 
UNLV's Basia Latos has been the team's most consistent producer on the offensive side, owning a team-leading average of 3.67 kills per set to rank third in the Mountain West. Kamryn Scroggins tops the team in assists with 180 total setups. The Rebels have shared duties defensively with Latos (78), Arrie Brown (74), and Caleigh King (73), all totaling at least 70 digs. Rheanna Deen-Jackson and Jada Ingram own the most blocks on the team with 25 and 23 blocks, respectively.
 
UC San Diego's Molly McCluskey's 3.45 kills per set place her eighth in the Big West. Marleena Catalan (7.24 assists per set) and Brynne McGhie (6.52 assists per set) have been the top setters on the Tritons through nine matches. Paulina Baillie's 123 digs and Lucia Barroso's 26 blocks are both team-best marks.
 
Following the two-day tourney in Las Vegas, the Lions will officially begin Southland Conference play with a trip to Nacogdoches, Texas, to face reigning SLC Champion Stephen F. Austin, Thursday, Sept. 24.
