HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football team will close out its nonconference schedule Saturday, traveling to ULM for a 3:30 p.m. contest at Malone Stadium.  
 
The game between SLU (1-2, 0-1 SLC) and the host Warhawks (0-2) will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 103.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).  
 
Southeastern put its first notch in the win column this fall with a 30-25 victory over North Alabama last Saturday.
 
Kyle Lowe threw for three touchdowns and 229 yards on 13-for-25 passing in the  win. His top target was Dkhai Joseph, who finished with seven catches for 141 yards and two touchdowns, marking the third straight game a different Lion has caught multiple touchdowns.  
 
Lowe has thrown for 565 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions on 42-for-72 passing. Lawson Dixon has a team-high three touchdown receptions, while Joseph and Lonnie Shinn each have two scoring catches.
 
Lowe leads the team with 117 yards and a touchdown rushing, while Calvin Smith Jr. (95 yards, 2 TD), Kyree Paul (89 yards), Deantre Jackson (69 yards) and Chad Elzy (66 yards) have contributed to the ground attack.
 
Carter Hanberry led Southeastern with 10 tackles in the win over UNA, while Carter Byrd added nine stops. Kenneth Ford Jr. and Trace Carter each had eight tackles with the latter also recording an interception.
 
Hanberry leads the team with 25 tackles, followed by Jordan Okoye (24), Carter (23) and Byrd (20).
 
ULM will be looking for its first victory of the season. The Warhawks have dropped road decisions to Mississippi State (62-13) and UAB (26-20).
 
Austin Carlisle leads the ULM offense, throwing for 129 yards on 16-for-29 passing, while also rushing for a team-high 143 yards. Noah Flemmings leads the Warhawks with a team-high 20 tackles. 
 
Saturday marks the 49^th all-time meeting between the Lions and Warhawks. ULM has won both games since moving up to FBS, but Southeastern still holds a 30-16-2 record versus Saturday's hosts. SLU, which dropped a 34-31 decision in the 2018 season opener in the last meeting, won 15 of 16 games in the in-state matchup during a stretch from 1951-66
 
Saturday's game is the first of three straight games on the road for the Lions. SLU heads to Northwestern State next Saturday for a 6 p.m. contest in Natchitoches. The game with the Demons will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 103.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
