HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football program is proud to partner with Phoenix Senior Living as a jersey patch sponsor for the 2026 season.
The Phoenix Senior Living logo will be featured on the Lions' uniforms throughout the season, highlighting a partnership rooted in community involvement and a shared connection to Hammond, America.
Phoenix Senior Living operates The Phoenix at Hammond just minutes from Southeastern's campus and Strawberry Stadium. The company's Louisiana management portfolio also includes The Retreat at Covington and The Pearl at Jamestown in Baton Rouge.
"We are excited to welcome Phoenix Senior Living as a partner of Southeastern Athletics," Southeastern Director of Athletics Jay Artigues said. "Phoenix Senior Living has an established presence in Hammond and throughout southeastern Louisiana, and the organization shares our belief in the importance of community, relationships and creating meaningful experiences. We appreciate their investment in our student-athletes and their support of the Lions."
The partnership reflects Phoenix Senior Living's commitment to the communities it serves and its focus on creating opportunities for meaningful intergenerational engagement. By connecting older adults with students and younger generations, PSL seeks to encourage shared learning, renewed purpose and relationships that strengthen the broader community.
"Football has a remarkable ability to bring generations together," Phoenix Senior Living founder and CEO Jesse Marinko said. "On game day, students, families, alumni, residents and longtime fans all become part of the same community. That sense of connection and belonging is central to who we are at Phoenix Senior Living, and we are incredibly proud to see our name represented on the Lions' uniform this season."
In addition to its sponsorship of Lion football, Phoenix Senior Living looks forward to exploring opportunities that connect Southeastern students and student-athletes with residents of its Louisiana communities. Those connections can create meaningful experiences for both generations while celebrating the stories, knowledge and traditions that residents have to share.
"Partnerships like this strengthen the connection between Southeastern Athletics and the community we represent," Artigues added. "We look forward to working with Phoenix Senior Living and identifying ways this relationship can make a positive impact beyond the football field."
Phoenix Senior Living provides assisted living, memory care and respite-care services at its three Louisiana communities. The Phoenix at Hammond offers assisted living, memory care and respite care; The Retreat at Covington provides assisted living and memory care; and The Pearl at Jamestown specializes in memory care and respite care for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia and other cognitive challenges.
