Box Score OXFORD, Miss. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Volleyball team continued the season-opening tournament at Ole Miss Saturday, dropping a match to Loyola Marymount, 25-19, 25-21, 25-21, at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center.
SLU (0-2) fell to LMU (2-0) in the team's second match of the season. After claiming a big win in the tournament-opening match against Northern Arizona, Loyola Marymount continued its solid start with a win Saturday.
Kyra McKelvey paced the SLU Lions with eight kills, while
Melina Gonzalez added six kills and a team-high eight digs. Freshman
Lauren Ossmann led Southeastern with 19 assists in the match.
As a team, Loyola Marymount ended the match with a .347 hitting percentage. LMU's Maria Tabacuks earned a match-high 20 kills. Gabriella Cascione (14) and Anya Santrac (11) tallied double-digit digs. Delfina Schuh's 34 digs were also a match-high.
SLU will end the Ole Miss Invitational Sunday, when the Lions face off with Northern Arizona (0-1) at 11 a.m. Live stats for Sunday's match will be available on the volleyball schedule page on
