HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team's Saturday matchup against Southland Conference foe Nicholls has been postponed.
 
Despite rainfall totals reported as high as 6.0 to 7.0 inches locally over the past couple of days, and a significant bit of additional precipitation forecasted for the next 24 hours, Southeastern (31-19, 19-9 SLC) and the Colonels (25-24, 15-13 SLC) will attempt to play a doubleheader Sunday at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field beginning at 2 p.m.
 
Fans are encouraged to show up early as the Lions will honor this year's senior class before the first pitch. Sunday is also Military Appreciation Day. The Lions pay tribute to those who serve with free admission to the ballpark.  One complimentary ticket will be given to those with a valid military ID.
