HAMMOND, La. – Southland Conference and school officials have canceled the remaining games in the Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team's conference series with Nicholls. They made this decision after re-evaluating the outfield playing surface Sunday morning.
Significant rainfall over the past couple of days, with local reports indicating totals as high as six to seven inches, rendered the outfield at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field saturated and unplayable.
The school is making plans for an alternate Senior Day ceremony to be held this week.
