HAMMOND, La. – The defending Southland Conference champion Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team wraps up a five-game homestand this weekend with a conference series against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Games against the Islanders (15-17, 4-10 SLC) are scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. All three are slated for coverage on ESPN+.

In addition to Friday Funday, the series opener against the Islanders is Daddy Daughter Date Night. Dads can enjoy an evening of baseball, smiles, and special moments with their daughters. It's the perfect night for quality time, cheers, and unforgettable fun.
Also, each Friday during the season, kids 12 and under will be able to stand alongside their favorite Lion for the National Anthem.
Saturday is Baseball Bingo at the Ballpark. Each Saturday during the season, fans can grab a bingo card from the marketing and promotions table in the concourse and play along. The first 25 valid bingos win a prize from Southeastern Athletics.
Sunday is both Military Appreciation Day and Lite It Up Blue. The Lions will celebrate Autism Awareness Day at the ballpark. Enjoy baseball, school pride, and a day dedicated to community, understanding, and inclusion. This game will include sensory-friendly adjustments to make the event enjoyable for all guests.
Also, each Sunday during the season, the Lions pay tribute to those who serve with free admission to the ballpark. One complimentary ticket will be given to those with a valid military ID.

SLU has won eight of its last nine games, including a 5-1 win at then No. 8-ranked Southern Miss and, most recently, a 7-6 walk-off victory over UL Lafayette.
Cade Sanchez (.381-3-25), Jayden Reynolds (.348-1-15), Karson Krowka (.339-0-4) and Isaiah Afework (.333-5-15) are the Islanders' top offensive threats.
A&M-Corpus Christi split a pair of non-conference games this past week, falling 18-4 Tuesday at Rice and winning 14-4 Wednesday at Prairie View A&M, after dropping two out of three games in a Southland matchup with Stephen F. Austin.
Southeastern enters the weekend tied with Lamar (10-5 SLC) for second place in the conference standings, 1.5 games in back of Southland-leading Northwestern State (13-5 SLC).

SLU embarks on a four-game road trip next week that includes a nationally-televised game against UTRGV in Edinburg, Texas.
Southeastern opens up the trip with a non-conference matchup Tuesday at Tulane. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Lions then head to the Rio Grande Valley for a three-game conference series against the Vaqueros. Games at UTRGV Baseball Stadium are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. The series opener is slated for national coverage on ESPNU.
