HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team and the Lion Athletics Association announced Bunko for Basketball presented by North Oaks Health System on Friday, May 8, in the Student Union Grand Ballroom.
Fans can join in on the dice game, where a team of two will try to score points while taking turns rolling three dice in a six-round series. A player needs to roll three-of-a-kind, with all three numbers matching the number of the round, to achieve bunko.
For adults aged 21 and older, doors to the Student Union Grand Ballroom will open at 6 p.m., Friday, May 8. Bunko games will begin at 7 p.m.
Fans seeking to attend Bunko for basketball can purchase tickets in advance for $50 or purchase tickets for $60 at the door. Online ticket sales for the event will close on Thursday, May 7. Any tickets purchased ahead of the event will be picked up at Will Call.
Proceeds from the Bunko for Basketball event will benefit the Southeastern women's basketball program.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for Bunko for basketball. Green and Gold level sponsorship opportunities are available ahead of the event. Green Sponsors for $300 include four tickets, a logo in the slide presentation, and program recognition. Gold Sponsors are $600 and include eight tickets with a logo tabletop sign, social media recognition, as well as the presentation logo and program recognition. Any sponsorships after the end of the business day on Monday, May 4, will not be featured in the event program or main signage.
