Weather Alters Weekend Baseball Schedule for Grambling Series

HAMMOND, La. – With rainy weather expected this coming weekend, the Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team has altered the schedule for its three-game series against Grambling at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.

Games between Southeastern (6-7) and the Tigers (3-9) are now scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday and a 10 a.m. doubleheader Saturday. All three games are slated for coverage on ESPN+.

Kids age 12 and under can stand on the field during the series opener with their favorite Lion player for the national anthem as part of the Friday Funday promotion. Fans will be able to play baseball bingo during Saturday's doubleheader, with the first 25 winners claiming a prize.

Fans can listen to all the baseball action on KSLU 90.9 The Lion, online at either www.LionSports.net/listenlive or www.LionUpRadio.org, via the following apps – Lions Gameday Experience, Live365, iHeart, Audacy, TuneIn and MyTuner Radio - or on Alexa speakers (skill must be enabled first). All you have to say is, "Alexa, play K.S.L.U."

Blaise Priester (.310, 1 HR, 7 RBI), Mo Little (.296, 2 RBI) and Ben Robichaux (.293, 1 HR, 10 RBI) pace the Lions at the plate.

Southeastern won four of five games on its recent road trip, winning a pair of games in a Southland Conference series at Northwestern State and then sweeping a pair of non-conference games at ULM.

Grambling has dropped five in-a-row following an 8-7 win over Jackson State, Feb. 22, at the Andrew Dawson Classic in Vero Beach, Florida.

Cameron Hill (.348, 2 HR, 9 RBI), Shannon Martin (.306, 7 RBI) and Aidan Lopez (.300, 8 RBI) are the Tigers' leading hitters.

UP NEXT
Southeastern returns to the road for a non-conference game Wednesday at South Alabama. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Stanky Field in Mobile, Alabama.
