ARLINGTON, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana University seniors
Cera Blanchard and
Tyler Oubre combined for the 13
th no-hitter in program history, as the two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion SLU softball team shutout UT Arlington, 5-0, Thursday evening at Allen Saxe Field.
Blanchard (7-1) struck out four and walked two in six scoreless innings, then Oubre threw a perfect seventh inning to complete the no-hitter and the seventh shutout victory of 2026 for Southeastern (15-9).
In a battle of former Southland Conference rivals, the Lady Lions touched up UT Arlington (8-13) pitching for a season-high 16 hits.
Cydnee Schneider led SLU with a 4-for-4 showing, while Colleen Kullivan was 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI.

Maria Detillier and
Kailey Dixon each had two hits apiece for Southeastern.
SLU jumped out to a 1-0 lead versus UTA starter Maddie Furniss (3-4) in the top of the first inning. Schneider singled home Morris to stake the Lady Lions to an early advantage.
After leaving the bases loaded in the top of the second inning, Southeastern padded its lead in the top of the third inning. Dixon singled home the frame's first run, the Kulivan followed with a two-run single to stretch the SLU advantage to 4-0.
The Lady Lions took advantage of a UTA error in the top of the fourth inning. Detillier singled and later scored on the Lady Mavs' miscue to give the Lady Lions a 5-0 cushion.
After giving up a leadoff walk in the bottom of the first, Blanchard retired 15 straight UT Arlington batters before walking the leadoff batter in the bottom of the sixth. The Metairie, Louisiana native retired the next three batters she faced, before giving way to Oubre for the final frame.
Oubre got two quick ground outs and then capped the historic effort with a game-ending strikeout of Peyton Holland.
Southeastern will open Southland Conference play Friday with a 10 a.m. doubleheader at East Texas A&M. Both games will be televised on ESPN+.
