HAMMOND, La. – The reigning Southland Conference regular season champion Southeastern Louisiana University softball team announced a challenging 2027 schedule that features nine games versus 2026 NCAA Regional participants Thursday.

Southeastern, which is coming off a 46-16 season and its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance, will officially open the Trent Partridge Era under its first-year head coach Feb. 11, hosting BYU at 5 p.m. at North Oak Park.

The game versus BYU opens a nonconference home slate for the Lions that is highlighted by an April 14 visit from two-time reigning national champion Texas. Other nonconference visitors to North Oak Park this spring include South Alabama (Feb. 23), Southern Miss (March 10) and ULM (March 23).

SLU opens its nonconference road schedule at the UL Lafayette Tournament Feb. 19-21. The trip to Lafayette will be one of three tournaments Southeastern will travel to, as the Lions will take part in the North Texas Tournament Feb. 26-28, as well as the Garnet & Black Invitational, hosted by South Carolina March 4-6.

SLU will also travel to nonconference foes Jacksonville State (March 3), Jackson State (March 16), Southern Miss (April 21) and Louisiana Tech (April 27).

The Lions open Southland Conference play with a three-game series at Northwestern State March 12-13. Southeastern also visits UIW (April 2-3), Lamar (April 6-7) and HCU (April 23-24).

The top two finishers in the Southland Conference standings will host SLC Tournament Bracket Play May 6-9. The final two teams will play the best two-out-of-three Southland Conference Tournament Championship Series at the highest remaining seed May 13-15 with the winner earning the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
