Southeastern Continues Outdoor Season at LSU Opener Saturday

SLU will face tough competition with meets in Baton Rouge and Lafayette

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's track & field teams will travel to Baton Rouge, La. for the LSU Opener at Bernie Moore Track Stadium for the second meet of the outdoor season.
 
Trey Faherty and Logan McCarthy will head to Lafayette, La., Saturday for the Louisiana Classics, starting at 7 a.m. at the Home Bank Soccer and Track Complex. Saturday's meet in Baton Rouge will begin at 9:30 a.m.
 
Southeastern is heading into the second week of the season after hosting The Andy Thiel Season Opener at the Southeastern Track Complex last weekend. The Lions and Lady Lions hosted teams from across Louisiana, totaling nine first-place finishes in Saturday's home meet.
 
After this weekend, the SLU men's and women's track and field teams will return to action in Starkville, Miss., for the Alumni Bulldog Relays, beginning Friday, Mar. 27.
