HAMMOND, La. –  The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team travels to Mobile, Alabama for a non-conference game Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. against South Alabama at Stanky Field.

Left-hander Nik Toups (0-0, 7.84) earns the start on the mound for Southeastern. The sophomore will be opposed by USA senior southpaw Hayden O'Dell (1-0, 5.23). 
 
Ben Robichaux (.346, 3 HR, 15 RBI), Mo Little (.333, 3 RBI), Giovanni Licciardi (.314, 1 HR, 6 RBI) and Brooks Wallace Award Player of the Week Connor Cuff (.288, 3 HR, 12 RBI) are the Lions' leading hitters.
 
SLU is coming off a weekend sweep of Grambling and has won five consecutive games. South Alabama has lost back-to-back games, dropping two of three games in a non-conference series at home against Louisiana Tech.
 
The Jaguars are led at the plate by Brennon Wright (.475, 9 RBI), Blake Guerin (.340, 5 HR, 17 RBI) and Duncan Matthews (.304, 3 HR, 12 RBI).
 
South Alabama won the previous meeting between the two squads, Feb. 24, in Hammond, 9-7.
 
UP NEXT
Southeastern returns to Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field for a four-game homestand, opening with a Southland Conference series against Stephen F. Austin. Games against the Lumberjacks are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
 
Following the SFA series, the Lions host No. 9-ranked Oklahoma, March 17, at 6 p.m.
