HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team will compete against UIW, Thursday at 6 p.m., and HCU, Saturday at 1 p.m. for the team's two-game Southland Conference home slate in the University Center.
SLU (2-18, 1-12 in SLC) will continue Southland Conference play against UIW (10-10, 8-5) and HCU (6-14, 4-9) will be televised on ESPN+. The games can also be heard on KSLU 90.9 The Lion, online at either

Thursday night's contest is White Out/Military Appreciation Night. Fans who attend the game are encouraged to wear white to help support the Lady Lions. Southeastern will also be honoring the military in the team's matchup against UIW.
Erynn Williams is the Spotlight Player of the Game for Thursday. The first 150 fans to attend the game will receive a trading card featuring the Saginaw, Mich. native, courtesy of PRIDE.
Saturday's 1 p.m. matchup against HCU will feature Love & Basketball. SLU will be celebrating Valentine's Day in its Feb. 7 matchup against the Huskies. The team will be showing love to fans by handing out Valentine's Day Candy Grams as part of the celebration.

After returning from a road trip to Nacogdoches, Texas, the Lady Lions are set to host two opponents in the University Center this week. SLU has already faced both UIW and HCU, earlier this season, having competed against both teams in December. First-year Southeastern Head Coach
Jeff Dow will be facing his former team in UIW for the second time this season.
Both
Aliyah Collins (13.2), and
Lihi Azouri (11.2) are Southeastern's top offensive producers through the team's first 20 games. Ranked seventh in points per game among all SLC players, Collins scored 14 points against the Ladyjacks while Wilkins (12), and
Bethany Graves (11) each contributed double-figure marks. Wilkins' 12-point performance against SFA was her first game of double-digit scoring as a Lady Lion.
Defensively,
Natalie Huff and
Mia Ramos each notched three steals to lead all players in the game against SFA. Graves led SLU in rebounding with six boards on the day, taking the lead among the Lady Lions in total season rebounds.
The UIW Cardinals have dropped the last two matchups against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 70-64, and UTRGV, 80-70, but won four straight games prior to that. Jorja Elliott (11.7), Destiny Whitaker (11.1), and Brynn Lusby (10.6) have filled up the stat sheet for UIW with consistent scoring averages. Raimi McCrary owns the team-leading rebounding average of 6.8 boards per game, ranking sixth in the SLC in that category.
The Huskies are coming off a 63-50 win over A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday, losing the previous three games to UIW, 74-65, and UTRGV, 65-53 and 63-41. In the Dec. 12 matchup between SLU and HCU, the Huskies won the 77-70 double-overtime contest in Houston, Texas. Kamryn McLaurin (12.3) and Grace Booth (10.7) are the primary scorers with double-digit point-per-game averages. Booth and Jordan Jackson have shared rebounding responsibilities with 6.8 and 5.7 boards per game, respectively.
The Cardinals broke the all-time series tie in the New Year's Eve contest against the Lady Lions. UIW came away with a 66-59 win in San Antonio, Texas to give the team a 10-9 lead in the series. SLU leads the all-time series against HCU, earning 13 wins in the 16 matchups between the two teams.
