Nik Toups (0-0, 4.50), a sophomore left-hander from Lake Charles, Louisiana, draws the starting assignment for Southeastern opposite Jaguar senior left-hander Hayden O'Dell (0-0, 2.70).
 
SLU is led at the plate by Connor Cuff (.280, 1 RBI), Alex Perry (.261, 5 RBI) and Brody Capps (.240, 3 HR, 7 RBI).
 
The Lions (2-5) are coming off back-to-back wins at home over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, winning the weekend series.
 
South Alabama (5-2) picked up a pair of wins over the weekend at College of Charleston before dropping the series finale Sunday.
 
The Jaguars are led at the plate by Brennan Wright (.481, 4 RBI), Mike Young (.387, 3 HR, 9 RBI) and Stewart Puckett (.344, 2 HR, 10 RBI).
 
UP NEXT
Southeastern embarks on a five-game road trip to north Louisiana, stopping in Natchitoches for a three-game Southland Conference series at Northwestern State this coming weekend. Games are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
 
The Lions wrap up the trip with a pair of non-conference games against ULM in Monroe. Start times are slated for 6 p.m. on March 3 and 4 p.m. on March 4 at Lou St. Amant Field.
