Southeastern is averaging 27.8 points and 351.0 yards per contest heading into league play.

In its inaugural season of football, UTRGV has yet to suffer a loss. In addition to a 27-21 win over FCS foe Prairie View, the Vaqueros were too much for Division II opponent Sul Ross State (66-0), as well as NAIA members Langston (80-0) and Texas Wesleyan (61-13).
