HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football team will close out its nonconference schedule Saturday with a 6:45 p.m. contest at No. 3/4 LSU in Tiger Stadium.
SLU (2-1) carries a two-game winning streak into the game against the undefeated Tigers (3-0). Saturday's contest will be televised on SEC Network and can be heard live on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
Southeastern claimed its second straight victory last Saturday, rolling to a 56-3 victory over Mississippi Valley State in its home opener. SLU scored touchdowns on its first four possessions and outgained MVSU, 457-164, in the victory.
SLU heads into the nonconference finale averaging 33.7 points and 400.0 yards per contest. Quarterbacks
Carson Camp (37-for-59, 3 TD, 2 INT) and
Kyle Lowe (18-25, 3 TD, 1 INT) have split time at quarterback for the Lions.
A total of 13 Lions have caught passes in the first three games.
Jaylon Domingeaux paces Southeastern with 10 catches for 152 yards and three touchdowns. Lowe (157 yards, 3 TD),
Jaedon Henry (130 yards - 2 TD) and
Calvin Smith Jr. (108 yards) lead the SLU rushing attack.
Opponents are averaging 17.0 points and 272.0 yards per game against the Southeastern defense.

Coming off a 20-10 win over Florida last Saturday, No. 3/4 LSU will be the highest-ranked FBS team SLU has faced since the program returned in 2003.
Garrett Nussmeier (69-for-106, 689 yards, 3 TD, 2 INT) leads a Tiger offense that averaging 20.0 points and 345.7 yards per game. Aaron Anderson (18 catches, 247 yards) and Barion Brown (15-145) are Nussmeier's top targets, while Caden Durham (196 yards, 2 TD) leads the ground game.
LSU is allowing 9.0 points and 260.3 yards per game to opposing offenses. West Weeks and Davhon Keys share team-high honors with 25 tackles apiece, while Dashawn Spears has two interceptions for the Tigers.
Saturday's game will be the third all-time meeting between the two schools. The teams last met in 2018 with the Tigers taking a 31-0 victory.
Following Saturday's contest, SLU will return home to host UTRGV in the Southland Conference opener Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium.
