HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University pitcher
Brady St. Pierre earned first-team Freshman All-America honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), the organization announced Monday.
The freshman from LaPlace, Louisiana finished the season second in the Southland Conference with nine saves, ranking 23rd nationally. He has compiled a 2-1 win-loss record and a 3.62 ERA in 32.1 innings pitched, striking out 35 batters. Opponents hit just .202 off the right-hander.
A total of 34 standout freshmen college baseball players from every part of the country are featured. The two squads are also made up of 10 conference "Rookie of the Year" winners. In addition, 20 all-conference honorees appear on the team. The teams also included one conference "Pitcher of the Year".
St. Pierre is the only member of the 2025 NCBWA Freshman All-American Team to have earned his conference's Relief Pitcher of the Year award.
The Freshman All-American team is voted upon by the membership of the NCBWA. The 2025 NCBWA National Freshman Player of the Year and National Freshman Pitcher of the Year will be announced on Tuesday, June 10.
