Southeastern Adds Williams for 2025-26

SLU inks graduate transfer Erynn Williams as the 12th signee of its 2025-26 signing class

HAMMOND, La. – Erynn Williams will continue her academic and athletic endeavors as a member of the Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball program for the 2025-26 season, SLU head coach Jeff Dow announced Tuesday afternoon.

Williams, a 5-8 guard from Saginaw, Michigan, spent two seasons at LSU-Shreveport and joins the green and gold with one year of eligibility left. The graduate transfer began her collegiate career at Delta College (2021-23), and as a freshman, averaged 5.4 points per game, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists. Williams returned for her sophomore campaign, playing in all 32 games with 30 starts, to average 15.0 points per game, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists. Williams led Delta College with 125 steals in the 2022-23 season.

In 2023-24, Williams competed in all 32 games to average 5.8 points per game and 2.9 rebounds at LSU-Shreveport. The junior shot 35.0 percent from the field and 70.2 percent from the free throw line to help the Pilots finish with an overall record of 30-3. This past season, Williams averaged 7.3 points per game and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 38.3 percent from the field, 28.4 percent from the three-point line and 70.2 percent from the stripe. Williams helped LSU-Shreveport finish the season with an overall record of 27-4 after scoring the game-deciding 3-point play in the Red River Athletic Conference championship game with a 54-51 victory over LSU-Alexandria.

"Due to the new NCAA rule, Erynn was granted an additional year of eligibility to play at the NCAA Division 1 level. We're excited to add another graduate transfer to our program with the ability and defensive energy that Erynn will bring to our program," said Coach Dow. "She has competed for a highly competitive NAIA program the past two seasons and her quickness and experience will be a valuable asset for us on both ends of the court."

Williams set the set program record for steals in a single season (79), and steals in a single game (8), to lead the RRAC with 3.1 steals per game this past season. The senior was named RRAC Defensive Player of the Year as LSU-Shreveport secured its second consecutive RRAC tournament championship.

Williams is the 12th signee for Southeastern in its 2025-26 signing class, joining Aliyah Collins, Eryn McKinzie, Taylor Wilkins, Bethany Graves, Mia Ramos, Aisha Marten-Coney, Natalie Huff, Emma Lucio, and Fatime Seck, Taylor Ross and Lihi Azouri.
