HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team travels to Mobile, Alabama for a 6:30 p.m. non-conference contest Tuesday at Stanky Field against South Alabama on ESPN+.
It is the first of two scheduled matchups this season between Southeastern (22-6) and the Jaguars (12-15).
Fans can listen to game broadcasts in the Hammond area on KSLU 90.9 The Lion. In addition, an audio stream is available online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via the Lions Gameday Experience and MyTuner Radio apps. The MyTuner app is compatible with the Apple CarPlay software available in most late-model automobiles.

The Lions are coming off a pair of Southland Conference wins at New Orleans to claim the Pontchartrain Bowl trophy for the sixth time in the last 10 years. SLU, which is hitting .305 as a team, ranks 11th nationally with 51 home runs.
Southeastern leads the nation in both shutouts (6) and double plays turned (28) while ranking fourth with a 3.25 ERA.
The Lions are led at the plate by
Ryan Brome (.387, 10 HR, 26 RBI),
Giovanni Licciardi (.381, 14 RBI),
Dane Watts (.375, 2 HR, 19 RBI) and
Ben Robichaux (.307, 5 HR 14 RBI). Brome is tied for the conference lead in home runs.
Left-hander
Nik Toups (1-0, 12.27) draws the starting nod for the Lions on the mound. The freshman from Lake Charles, Louisiana will be opposed by South Alabama junior right-hander Tyler Smith (2-1, 7.84).
John Smith III (.362, 3 HR, 12 RBI), Kyle Morrison (.358, 6 HR, 33 RBI), Duncan Matthews (.344, 1 HR, 16 RBI), Lucas Ismaili (.337, 1 HR, 11 RBI) and Rett Johnson (.317, 5 RBI) are South Alabama's top hitters this season.
The Jaguars dropped two of three games in a Sun Belt Conference series this past weekend at No. 13-ranked Southern Miss and have dropped nine of their last 11 overall.

Southeastern returns home for an action-packed weekend of Southland Conference action against UIW. Games are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
Friday's game is Youth Sports Night. Youth sports teams (8th grade and under) wearing their jersey to the game will receive free admission. They will also be able to stand on the field with their favorite Lion player during the National Anthem.
Saturday's game is part of the annual celebration of all things Lion Athletics, better known as Super Lion Saturday. The SLU Alumni Association will celebrate from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the grassy area adjacent to the right-field parking lot. Local band Open Range will provide musical entertainment, while the event will feature an Easter egg hunt on the football field, food trucks, yard games and a bounce house. Northshore Broadcasting will also provide a live remote from the event. During the baseball game, fans will be able to play Baseball Bingo.
Sunday is Military Appreciation Day. Free general admission tickets are available Sunday for active military members who present a valid service ID at the gate.
