HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team hosts a pair of midweek games this week, with a slight schedule change, at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
 
Southeastern (18-5) will face LSU Alexandria (14-18) at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Mississippi Valley State (5-9) at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Before both games, kids age 12 and under will be able to stand on the field with their favorite Lion player during the National Anthem. There will also be $2 hot dogs available at the concession stand.
 
The two games will be carried on ESPN+. Live stats will be available in the Lions Gameday Experience app and online at www.LionSports.net.
 
Fans can listen to game broadcasts in the Hammond area on KSLU 90.9 The Lion. In addition, an audio stream is available online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via the Lions Gameday Experience and MyTuner Radio apps. The MyTuner app is compatible with the Apple CarPlay software available in most late-model automobiles.
 
The Lions picked up a pair of wins this past week, defeating UL Lafayette, 7-1, Wednesday and shutting out McNeese, 6-0, Friday.
 
SLU, which is hitting .307 as a team, ranks ninth nationally with 45 home runs. Southeastern also leads the nation in shutouts (5), in addition to ranking fourth in double plays turned (24) and fifth with a 3.15 ERA.
 
The Lions are led at the plate by Giovanni Licciardi (.440, 12 RBI), Dane Watts (.400, 2 HR, 15 RBI), Ryan Brome (.388, 10 HR, 25 RBI), Conner O'Neal (.316, 7 HR, 18 RBI), Ben Robichaux (.310, 4 HR 12 RBI) and TJ Salvaggio (.309, 6 HR, 23 RBI). Brome leads the Southland in home runs.
 
UP NEXT
Southeastern returns to Southland Conference action this coming weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Lions face UNO in the 10^th annual Pontchartrain Bowl rivalry series at Maestri Field on the lakefront.
 
Games are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. All three games are slated for coverage on ESPN+.
