HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team heads out on the road for the first time this season, traveling down the road to Lafayette, Louisiana for a non-conference matchup with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette diamond squad. The first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.
Fans can listen to the game broadcast in the Hammond area on KSLU 90.9 The Lion. In addition, an audio stream is available online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via both the Lions Gameday Experience and MyTuner Radio apps. The MyTuner app is compatible with the Apple CarPlay software available in most late-model automobiles.

Southeastern (7-1) is coming off a three-game sweep of Alcorn State this past weekend. SLU is hitting .348 as a team and ranks second nationally with 17 home runs.
Dane Watts (.625, 1 HR, 9 RBI),
Ryan Brome (.444, 4 HR, 6 RBI) and
Mo Little (.429, 3 HR, 8 RBI) are the Lions' leading hitters.
Redshirt senior left-hander
Luke Barbier (1-0, 1.93) earns the start on the mound for SLU and will oppose Ragin' Cajun right-hander Tate Hess (0-1, 1.59).
Sam Ardoin (.500, 2 RBI), Brooks Wright (.429, 5 RBI) and Conor Higgs (.350, 1 HR, 2 RBI) pace the Ragin' Cajuns at the plate.
The Ragin' Cajuns (4-3), which play Tuesday at McNeese, are coming off a series victory over No. 23-ranked Nebraska. They are hitting .252 as a squad with three home runs.

Southeastern returns home to open Southland Conference play against Northwestern State. Games against the Demons are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
Friday's game is Youth Sports Night. Youth sports teams (8
th grade and under) wearing their jersey to the game will receive free admission. They will also be able to stand on the field with their favorite Lion player during the National Anthem. Saturday's game will feature Baseball Bingo while Sunday is Military Appreciation Day. Free general admission tickets are available Sunday for active military members who present a valid service ID at the gate.
