Proctor, Reno Add to Accolades as AFCA FCS Coaches All-America Selections

Southeastern senior pair both receive fourth All-America nods of 2025

HAMMOND, La. – Another day brought more national recognition for Southeastern Louisiana University defensive tackle Kaleb Proctor and linebacker KK Reno, as the Lion duo was named to the American Football Coaches Association FCS Coaches' All-America Team, the AFCA announced Thursday.

Proctor (first team) and Reno (second team) both earned their fourth All-American nod of the week Thursday. Proctor was a first team choice by Stats Perform and FCS Football Central, while earning second team honors from the Associated Press.

Reno was a second team choice by Stats Perform and FCS Football Central, while claiming honorable mention recognition from the Associated Press.

Proctor, the 2025 Southland Conference Player of the Year and Reno, the 2025 SLC Defensive Player of the Year, joined former Lions Felton Huggins (2004), Xavier Roberson (2013) and Cole Kelley (2020, 2021) as the only players in program history to be named All-Americans by four different outlets in the same season.

Named first team by a majority of the presenters, Proctor joins Kelley as the only consensus All-Americans since the program's return in 2003.

Proctor (nine sacks, 13.0 TFL) and Reno (126 tackles, 10.5 TFL) were two of the leaders of a Southeastern defense that ranks among the FCS leaders in scoring defense (18.0, 9th), total defense (295.2, 8th), sacks per game (3.08, 9th), tackles for loss per game (7.0, 11th), first downs allowed (201, 7th) and third down conversion percentage defense (31.8, 9th).

A total of five Southland Conference student-athletes were recognized by the AFCA as All-Americans. Proctor was joined by SFA defensive back Charles Demmings on the first team. Reno, SFA offensive lineman Erik Gray and linebacker Jaydon Southard were second team picks.
