HAMMOND, La. – After helping the No. 16/21 Southeastern Louisiana University football team to a 59-14 win over East Texas A&M, wide receivers Jaylon Domingeaux and Dkhai Joseph were named Southland Conference Players of the Week the league office announced Monday.
 
Domingeaux was named SLC Offensive Player of the Week, while Joseph claimed SLU's second straight Southland Special Teams Player of the Week award. Teammate Brandon Hayes received the same honor Oct. 27.
 
Domingeaux finished with four catches for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's victory. The Lafayette, La. native is fifth in FCS and leads the league with eight receiving touchdowns – the sixth-highest single-season total in program history.
 
Joseph averaged 29.2 yards per punt return and recorded a 63-yard punt return for a score in the first quarter. He finished with 172 all-purpose yards, as he hauled in four catches for 55 yards and a touchdown. The Reserve, La. product is one of five FCS players with two punt return touchdowns this fall and is currently eighth nationally with 16.1 yards per punt return.
 
Winners of five straight games, the Lions will play their next two games away from home. SLU (7-2, 5-0 SLC) heads to No. 14 Lamar (7-2, 4-1 SLC) next Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest. The showdown between Southeastern and the Cardinals will be televised on ESPN+ and will be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
